The Village Roots Community Closet provides free clothing, shoes, coats, hygiene items, and household essentials to families across Omaha. Whether a family is starting over, rebuilding after crisis, or simply needing support between paychecks, the Closet is a place where they’re met with respect, kindness, and practical help.

How You Can Help
There are many ways to “be the village” through the Community Closet:
• Donate Items: We always need gently used clothing, shoes, coats, and household items, plus new hygiene products.
• Volunteer with Us: Help sort donations and organize shelves.
• Host a Drive: Schools, workplaces, teams and families can host clothing or hygiene drives to keep the Closet stocked.
